Longford will go in to Saturday evening’s All Ireland Qualifier match against Tyrone with the same line-up that started against Cavan, writes Neil Halligan.

With Clonguish forward Paddy Dowd retired, Glenn Ryan has kept faith with Diarmuid Masterson at centre-forward, with Ballymahon’s Kevin Diffley holding on to the number six jersey in defence.

Tyrone’s Stephen O’Neill has been named in their line-up for the Pearse Park encounter, with Barry Gilleran or Dermot Brady likely to be detailed to mark the sharp-shooting forward. Owen Mulligan is once again listed among the substitutes.

Longford will look to the likes of Paul Barden, Brian Kavanagh and Sean McCormack to once again provide the scores to topple the 2008 All-Ireland champions.

Meanwhile, Leitrim face a similarly daunting task against last year’s All Ireland finalists, Down in Newry on Saturday (throw-in 3pm).

Mickey Moran has made five changes to side that lost the Connacht semi-final to Roscommon.

John McKeon and Daniel Beck replace Ronan Gallagher and Wayne McKeon in defence. Darren Sweeney comes in for Tomas Beirne in midfield while in the forwards division Colm Clarke and Brian McDonald replace Paul Brennan and Conor Beirne. James Glancy (Glencar Manorhamilton) captains the side from full forward.
