Goals at crucial stages in the second half saw Rathcline book their place in the final of the U-21 ‘B’ Football Championship against the title holders Mullinalaghta St. Columba’s at Pearse Park on Sunday next.
Just when it looked like Granard/Ballymore were sneaking back into the game after a poor start at Keenan Park, Ardagh on Sunday last, Rathcline knocked them out of their stride with two goals. In the end that was the difference between the two sides; Rathcline used the ball better in the forward line and were more accurate in front of goal while Granard/Ballymore were left to rue missed chances.
