There was a surprise in store for Paul Barden at the Longford GAA Gathering ‘A Night with the Blue & Gold’ in Backstage Theatre on Sunday night last as a special tribute and presentation was made to the Clonguish footballer at the conclusion of a highly entertaining event. Now in his 15th season with the Longford senior team, Paul was praised by a number of leading figures in the GAA including RTE Sunday Game pundit Kevin McStay who was in attendance and hopefully the brilliant Barden will have recovered from his injury problems to line-out in the Leinster Championship first round game against Wicklow in Aughrim on Sunday, May 26.
