St. Mel’s exit U-16 Championship

St. Mel’s U-16 footballers made their exit from the North Leinster Junior ‘A’ Football Championship after losing out against a strong St. Pat’s side in the semi-final at the St. Loman’s GAA grounds, Mullingar on Thursday last.

St. Mel’s U-16 footballers made their exit from the North Leinster Junior ‘A’ Football Championship after losing out against a strong St. Pat’s side in the semi-final at the St. Loman’s GAA grounds, Mullingar on Thursday last.

Both teams exchanged points in the early stages of the game with midfielder Niall Kelly and wing-back Fergal Keenan on target for St. Mel’s.

St Pat’s took the lead midway through the first half when they scored a well taken goal but St. Mel’s got right back in contention when finding the back of the Navan net in the 20th minute.
