Pauline then gave her report for 2012 in which she gave a run down of how all teams did in each of the competitions they took part in. She congratulated all team managers and players on reaching the various stages of the competitions and wished them well for 2013. Pauline also thanked all who had helped her in her role throughout the year and wished everyone health and success for next year. Club Treasurer Stephen McDermott was next to take the floor in giving a comprehensive view of the clubs finances for the past year and our current financial standing. Stephen noted that Lotto and Gate Receipts were two areas where numbers were down on last year and said that our Lotto jackpot been won twice in quick succession put a strain on the Lotto balance sheet. He also said that Medical and Physio were a huge expense on the club each year and we had been particularly unlucky this year having a numbers of layers whose injuries required surgery raising the medical bill on the club. Another massive expense on the club was The Marquee in Drumlish Festival, which while making a substantial profit again this year has incurred large expenses and while Stephen agreed with comments from the floor that the expenses would have to be looked at for the coming year’s festival, he noted that no other fundraiser would bring in such large funds to the club. He also said that sponsorship secured this year from Wimax was a huge boost to the Festival and thanked Martin Mulleady for organising this as well as Seán and Gráinne Bulger and all at Wimax for their assistance. Stephen thanked Kevin Davis and Betty Creegan for their help in roles as Assistant Treasurers and everyone who sold Lottos and supported the club either financially or otherwise in 2012. Pakie Duffy began his Chairman’s report for the last year by commiserating with the U-21s on their championship final defeat at the hands of Killoe recently. He encouraged the lads to keep going and take heart from the fact that they have contested the U-21 final for the last 3 years, advising them their time will come. The Chairman then went on to thank all team managers, selectors and players for all their hard work in 2012. He gave a brief overview of how each team faired in their various competitions over the year and wished them all well for the coming year. Pakie thanked everyone who supported the club in any way over the past 12 months, especially those who volunteered at The Marquee Festival, Thomas Gill and his team who look after the clubhouse and grounds, Marie Collum, Bridie Reilly for attending every game as physio and Paul McCormack who also gave medical assistance at games. He concluded by again thanking everyone with apologies for anyone left out and wished everyone and safe and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
