Longford name starting line-up to face Limerick

Longford manager Glenn Ryan has named his starting fifteen for Saturday’s second round football qualifier against Limerick at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, throw in 2pm, David Barden returns and is the only change to the team that defeated Derry in dramatic fashion two weeks ago.

Longford manager Glenn Ryan has named his starting fifteen for Saturday’s second round football qualifier against Limerick at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, throw in 2pm, David Barden returns and is the only change to the team that defeated Derry in dramatic fashion two weeks ago.

Long-time netminder Damien Sheridan will start between the posts while Dermot Brady, Barry Gilleran and Declan Reilly will make up the full back line.

Colm Smyth, Michael Quinn and Shane Mulligan will line out in the half back line while Bernard McElvaney and John Keegan make up the midfield pairing.

David Barden returns when he lines out at number 10 while team captain Paul Barden lines out at centre half forward while Niall Mulligan will join the Barden brothers in the half forward line.

Donal McElligott, Brian Kavanagh and top scorer Sean McCormack make up the full forward line.
