MINOR-KILLOE: Annual Presentation night is on Friday January 4th at 8.30pm in St Teresa’s National School. All players, parents and members are asked to attend and everyone is welcome. The club offers it’s sympathy to the Rowley family, Esker, and the Campbell family, Corneddan, on their recent sad bereavement.

MINOR-ST. VINCENT’S: Our annual Bag Pack was in Tesco On December 23rd. It was a great success and thank you to everyone who contributed on the day and to Tesco for allowing us have the day. A special thank you to all the boys who bag packed on the day as without your help this day would not be possible. The Bag Packers were Brendan and Michael McCann, Michael McKenna, Brad Byrne, Ciaran Gorman, Tommy and Aaron McGee, Paul Donnelly, Cian Murphy, Aaron Carr, Cathal and Eoin Howe, Cathal Culliney, Mark Hughes, Kevin Whitney, Stephen Donnelly and Ryan Crowe. Also a big thank you to all the adults who helped supervise during the day and who were as follows: Seamus Noonan, Ken Leonard, Darren Reilly, Michael Donnelly, Eamon Hughes, Paddy Howe and Bridie Reilly. Thank you to Mary Gillooley and Patsy Higgins for organising the date in Tesco. Thank you to all the people who supported our fundraiser on Friday night last in Dillon’s of Ballinamuck. It was a great success and a good night was had by all. Thank you to the Monday Club for providing a great night’s entertainment and to Peter Dillon and all the staff for their help on the night. LADIES-DROMARD: Our AGM was held on Sunday 16th December last and there was a good crowd in attendance. The U-12 team were also presented with their medals for winning the Longford U-12 B final. The committee for 2013 was elected and consists of the following members; Chairperson: Laura Martin, Vice-Chair: Geraldine Bleakley, Secretary: Caitriona Spollen, Assistant Secretary: Bernice Martin and Marette Duffy, Treasurer: Gloria Kavanagh, Assistant Treasurer: Michelle Kilkenny, PRO: Sean Conefrey, Assistant PRO: Michelle McManus, Registrar: Doireann Mimnagh, Assistant Registrar: Niamh Conefrey, Development Officer: Rosie Doherty, Senior Club Liaison Officer: Susan Murphy, Childrens Officer: Peggy Kiernan, County Board Delegates: Laura Martin, Marette Duffy, Bernice Martin, Linda Martin, Michael Masterson, Caitirona Spollen, and Ray Murphy. We thank all who attended and in particular those who have taken on a role within the club for the following year. We wish everyone a very Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing all back on the pitch in early 2013.

LADIES-LONGFORD SLASHERS: We would like to wish all our players, mentors and supporters a Happy New Year. Hopefully 2013 will be a great year for everyone both on and off the football pitch.

LADIES-MOSTRIM: The club wishes to thank the local community who supported us so generously again at our recent bag pack collection. We would like to thank both Duffy’s Supervalu and Kanes Costcutter for so kindly allowing us in their premises again this year. Also thanks to all the players who dedicated their time over the Christmas to help out the club. Congratulations to Mrs Philomena Donoghue who was given a lifetime achievement award at the Longford GAA Awards recently. Mrs D is well known for her behind the scenes work and commitment at the Mostrim Ladies and the mens Club and at County level for the GAA. She is truly deserving of this accolade. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our members, supporters and sponsors a very happy and prosperous new year. We would like to thank you all for all your hard work and commitment you have shown throughout the year on and off the pitch. 2012 will be remembered for capturing our first ever junior title and we look for forward to another successful year. We hope to see you all in mid-January at the AGM and all are welcome to attend.
