14 man Clonguish could have brought the ‘B’ final to extra-time deep in stoppage time but Derek Duggan’s short ‘45 was gathered by a Emmet Og defender and referee Stephen Tierney then blew the full-time whistle.

Clonguish were dealt a big blow in the 25th minute when midfielder John Dowd was sent-off after receiving a second yellow card.

Emmet Og found themselves trailing by 0-3 to 0-0 by the 6th minute; Ciaran Williams, Ian Reilly (free) and a great point from David Faughnan with the scores for Clonguish.

The gap was cut by the 11th minute when Larry Moran (free) and Padraig Reilly pointed for Emmet Og. Clonguish restored their three point advantage with points from Duggan (free) and a fine effort from Faughnan.

Points were then traded between Moran (free) and Williams and right before the break Stephen Coy pointed to leave two between the sides, 0-6 to 0-4.

Early in the second half Stephen McLoughlin was on target for Clonguish but Emmet Og then got on top. A pointed free and a great goal from Larry Moran put Killoe in front for the first time in the 37th minute and it was a lead they didn’t relinquish.

A free apiece followed from Liam Hughes and Moran but it was back to a one point game in the 44th minute when Shane O’Brien and Ian Reilly (free) were on target for Clonguish.

Points were then traded between Liam Hughes and Ciaran Williams. In the 60th minute Michael Connell put Emmet Og ahead by two points but seconds later Williams shot over the bar to reduce the deficit but Clonguish were unable to get the equalising score.
