Two Longford winners have emerged, so far, from this year's ploughing championships in Tullamore, Co Offaly.

Yesterday Anthony Reynolds took fourth place in the Intermediate Conventional Plough Class and today, Leanne Shaughnessy scooped second place in the Macra 2 Furrow Plough Class.

Tomorrow, Connor Mulligan, Mel McKenna, John King and Eamon Egan will battle it out in their respective competitions and the Longford Leader will be there to bring all the latest developments from the Championships to you.

We will have live coverage as well as lots of video footage and audio that will include interviews with the local ploughmen and women and Vincent Kiernan from outside Granard who is in contention for a national award for his invention K.O. Cesarean Aid, as well as lots lots more!

There will also be photographs uploaded throughout the day and who knows what other surprises will be in store once the day kicks off early tomorrow morning.

Don't forget to keep an eye tomorrow on our Facebook page, Longford Leader Twitter and    for all the action on the final day of the National Ploughing Championships 2016.
