This dish is one of our most popular choices off our buffet menu. It also features on our daily specials from time to time with many requests from our customers for the recipe. Chicken A La King is traditionally served with rice but works very well with pasta also. This recipe is suitable for Coeliacs.
6 chicken fillets cut in cubes
1 Red pepper diced
1 yellow pepper diced
1 Large onion diced
2 Cloves of garlic crushed
100ml of white wine
600ml Chicken stock
20gr Chopped mixed herbs
Salt & Pepper
Corn flour in water to thicken
1. In a large pot, melt the butter on a medium heat, add the seasoned cubed chicken and toss around the pot to coat in butter.
2. Add the vegetables and continue to cook the chicken & vegetables until the vegetables begin to soften.
3. Add the wine, stock & cream and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add the herbs, seasoning and thicken with corn flour.
