Toyota consistently remains one of Ireland’s favourite brands so the arrival of a new Corolla, the world’s best selling car, is bound to be a big hit with Irish motorists. The Corolla is a phenomenon - it is sold in over 150 countries with over 40 million sold worldwide.

The all-new Corolla inherits 47 years of Corolla DNA, building on the model’s legendary quality, durability and reliability while offering a significant step change in its design, best in class fuel economy, enhanced driving dynamics and class leading safety features such as 7 airbags including a driver’s knee airbag.

Incredibly, this is the 11th generation version of the best seller. The new generation model will be available in Ireland from July 31, 2013.

So what does it look like? The all-new Corolla’s exterior design embodies the evolution of Toyota’s new design language with a more sophisticated and contemporary look. A more chiselled front end, larger lower grille and a longer wheel base makes a strong design statement.

With LED Daytime Running Lights as standard, the New Corolla has its curves in all the right places while providing the driver greater visibility.

It also has more room so your passengers will thank you for that! In actual fact the new Corolla has an enhanced rear passenger environment including increased rear legroom, thanks to a longer wheelbase which has been extended by 100mm.

The model also features more comfortable seats and increased luggage capacity so five adults can travel together in comfort.

One of the biggest issues for motorists today is fuel economy and Co2 emissions and the new Corolla ticks quite a few boxes there. The interior of the new Corolla has a premium edge with a soft touch finished dashboard. It features a myriad of in-car technologies including the 2nd generation of the Toyota Touch, a 6.1” full colour, touch-screen multimedia system New with a rear reversing camera and Bluetooth.

In keeping with Toyota’s position as having the lowest fleet wide CO2 in Europe, the Corolla has a revised, Euro 5+ compliant engine line-up with best in class fuel economy and Co2 emissions.

Really it is little wonder that the Corolla has remained a firm favourite with Irish motorists but this new generation Corolla is absolutely certain to be a hit. It looks amazing and ticks all the boxes for today’s driver. Coming to a showroom near you in the next few weeks. Await the stampede!
