Volunteers sought for tree planting in Drumlish

The Native Woodland Trust is holding a hands-on volunteering day at their Farnaght Woodland Reserve on Saturday 19th January and are looking for volunteers for their 1st outing of 2013 on the 19th January.

The reserve is planted with native Oak, Birch and Hazel and the forest is quite impressive already even though only 10 years old. Through 2013 finishing touches such as managing the grassland meadow, adding pathways and doing some important vegetation control work will be the order.

All of the work will be supervised and amply instructed - Join the Native Woodland Trust for a great opportunity to learn about woodland trees and to make a difference to conservation and for a good healthy holistic day out- Meet – Drumlish Village in front of Church, opposite Costcutters at 10.50 am– Event Time 11: 00 – 15:00 hrs.
