The Park House Hotel and 11 Church Street, Edgeworthstown, will go under the hammer at the next Allsop Space property auction on Tuesday, July 1.

The Park House Hotel in Edgeworthstown is one of close to 200 properties set to go under the hammer at an Allsop Space Auction in two weeks time.

The 22 bedroom hotel, which has long been renowned as a country music venue under its proprietor Frank Kilbride for over two decades, comes with a reserve price of €140-160,000.

Mr Kilbride recently celebrated his 28th anniversary in the venue with a gala night of country music stars.

A derelict two bedroom house, garden and car park to the rear is also included in the sale, extending the entire site to around 1.2 acres.

A former County Councillor, Mr Kilbride declined to comment about the impending sale when contacted by the Longford Leader earlier this week.

The hotel was put on the market over 16 months ago with a guide price of around €650,000.

Local interest, meanwhile, will also focus on the proposed sale of three properties in the Hawthorn Meadows estate in Ballymahon.

House numbers 11, 18 and 19, all of which are described as mid terrace three bedroom properties are included with a reserve limit of €40,000.

A total of 183 properties from across the country, will be offered for sale at the auction which takes place at Dublin’s RDS on July 1.
