Low reserves ensure local properties sell at Allsop auction

Five properties from Longford and surrounding areas went under the hammer at the Allsop Space Property Auction in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin last Friday, March 1.

The buildings, three residential and two industrial, all met their reserve prices in the sale. Two semi-detached houses at 8 and 9 Beechwood Park in Granard held a reserve of €30,000, and fetched €35,000 and €30,000 respectively. Both houses have three bedrooms, and feature off-street parking and gardens at the front and rear.

The other residential property featured was a three-bedroom semi-detached house at 8 Water Vale, Rooskey, which exceeded its reserve of €30,000 when it was sold for €51,000.

A 390.2 square-metre warehouse near Strokestown was sold for €28,000, exceeding its reserve price by €8,000. The unit, which is in the Lisroyne area, is located on a 0.058 hectare site and has an enclosed yard to the front. The final local property to be auctioned was a 371.6 square-metre industrial unit located just outside Abbeyshrule village. A reserve of €20,000 was placed on the building, which sold for €51,000. The detached property is situated on a 0.215 hectare site approximtaely 550 metres to the southwest of the village. Allsop’s next auction will take place at the Shelbourne Hotel on Wednesday, May 15.
