Granard wind energy developer, Airsynergy has shaken hands with a Cavan-based firm to exclusively sell its small wind turbine products across Ireland and the UK.

The agreement with the Obelisk Group concerns the company’s sub-10kW turbine devices in a move which has been met with glowing approval in both counties.

“We are delighted to partner with Obelisk as our Irish and UK licensee,” said Airsynergy CEO, Jim Smyth.

“With an extremely strong industry pedigree in the wind industry sector, they are in an ideal position to roll out our Airsynergy technology in Ireland and the UK,” explained Jim Smyth, CEO, Airsynergy.

The deal will see Obelisk handle the promotion, sales, distribution and maintenance of the wind-powered Airsynergy street light as well as small commercial wind turbines of up to 10kW.

“We believe our expertise, coupled with Airsynergy’s turbine innovation, will deliver superior small wind solutions for Ireland and the UK,” said Obelisk Networks Managing Director, Padraig Brady.

Obelisk employs over 300 employees in Ireland, UK and South Africa, with its renewable division specialising in wind farm operations.
