Former Longford County Councillor and businessman Frank Kilbride has spoken for the first time about how the demise of Ireland’s Celtic Tiger almost killed him.
In an open and exclusive interview featured in tomorrow’s (Wednesday) Longford Leader, Mr Kilbride tells of his rise, fall from grace and gradual recovery from the depths of despair.
“I don’t blame anyone, I borrowed the money,” was his honest and straight-forward assessment as the empire he had so carefully managed to build began to collapse around him.
Now back in charge of The Park House Hotel in Edgeworthstown, Mr Kilbride said he planned to start a new chapter in his life, both from a business and political standpoint.
