Clynan Farm goes to auction next month

A 365 acre non-residential farm in Abbeyshrule which sold for e4.9 million seven years ago will go under the hammer again on Friday, November 9th in Mullingar Park Hotel.

Clynan Farm, located on the Abbeyshrule Road, commanded a maximum guide price of e3 million in 2005, despite selling for almost e2 million more. The land is offered as five individual lots or as one single package. Lot 1 is approximately 108 acres of prime land with excellent road frontage and is well fenced with cattle handling facilities. The ruin of Clynan House, which the farm is named after, sits in a woodland area nearby.

Lot 2 is 58 acres of quality grass land with further cattle handling facilities and is bounded one side by the River Inny, a tributary of the River Shannon. Lot 3 is 102 acres of grassland and augmented by a mains water supply, while lot 4 comprises of 77 acres of forestry which was planted in 1999. Finally, lot 5 is comprised entirely of 268 acres of grassland.
