Carrigglas Manor has been sold for a figure thought to be just over €1 million.
A spokesman for real estate agents Lisney said today that, “the property has been sold, but the sale is not yet closed.”
Interested parties had until October 31 last to submit tenders for the demesne, which was the subject of a failed €160 million development by Thomas Kearns Developments Ltd.
Last October the Longford Leader reported that a consortium was interested in acquiring Carrigglas Manor and converting it into a medical and pharmaceutical research centre. However, it is believed the parties behind this plan are not involved with the purchase.
