In the wake of a major technical issue at Ulster Bank, the financial institution has advised that customers who were due payments yesterday (June 21) and need access to their money should go to their local branch with their details and identification.

The branches which will be open until 7pm this evening (June 22) are: Main Street Longford, Main Street Cavan, The Square Roscommon, 19 Mardyke Street Athlone, 15-17 Oliver Plunkett Street Mullingar, and Stephen Street Sligo.

The problem, which is affecting UK and Irish divisions, has seen a continued delay in the bank’s ability to process payments. The result is that certain transactions, including salaries and social welfare payments, were failing to appear in accounts.

ATM and Anytime services are operational but reflecting the one-day delay.
