Longford business finder app now available

An interactive app that gives information and contact details on a whole range of businesses in Co Longford is now available to download for the iPhone and iPad.

An interactive app that gives information and contact details on a whole range of businesses in Co Longford is now available to download for the iPhone and iPad.

The app, commissioned by the Longford County Enterprise Board, contains a directory of over 1000 businesses in Co Longford.

Information for each business includes name, address, business description, contact person, phone, fax, email and website. The location of many of the businesses is highlighted on an interactive map.

Longford County Enterprise Board are calling on all businesses in Longford to insure their details are up to date. As the app pulls its data from Longford County Enterprise Board’s online business directory, business owners are asked to check if their details are correct.

Any corrections or omissions can be emailed to info@longfordceb.ie. As the app is quite visual, businesses are asked to forward on a business logo or a photograph that represents their business (e.g. Owner, premises, van, etc).

There is also the option to pinpoint the location of your business, to make it even easier to find. To do so, go to Google maps, locate your premises on the map and right click on the location of your premises. Once the pop up menu appears, click on ‘What’s here?’ The latitude/ longitude will appear in the search box just above the map. Note these numbers numbers and email them to info@longfordceb.ie. The app is broken down into easy to use categories, e.g. construction, bars/restaurants, childcare or by individual locations such as Ardagh, Ballymahon or Colehill making finding that business in the locality more accessible.

The app is free to download and can be found on the app store by searching ‘Longford business finder.’
