Jobs will be the number one topic on people’s lips next week when the minister in charge of upholding those aspirations chairs a business forum meeting in Longford town.

Richard Bruton is expected to field questions from local entrepreneurs and managers at a specially arranged employment think-in next Tuesday (November 5).

He will be joined by representatives from Enterprise Ireland and the IDA as efforts centre on the economy and job creation plans.

Local TD, James Bannon ws part of a wider plan to focus on job creation in the midlands region.

“I am delighted that Minister Bruton has accepted my invitation to host a regional business forum in Longford on November 5th at 6pm in the Longford Arms Hotel, as part of my efforts to put a greater focus on job creation in the region,” he proudly stated.

Mr Bannon said the occasion, set for 6pm inside the Longford Arms, represented an ideal opportunity for local firms to present their own opinions on how best to drive Longford’s labour market into the future.
