Judging at Carrick on Shannon’s Winter Fatstock Show on Sunday November 25th next commences with the Judging of the RDS young Stockperson Class at 12 noon.

Judging at Carrick on Shannon’s Winter Fatstock Show on Sunday November 25th next commences with the Judging of the RDS young Stockperson Class at 12 noon.

This class, sponsored by the Royal Dublin Society , is a great source of encouragement for all young Show enthusiasts and will be judged this year by

Sharon Rothwell, Wicklow who was one of the top contestants in TG4’s Feirm Factor last spring. After this Class the judging Marquee will be divided into two rings and the judging of the other 32 Classes in the Show Schedule will begin and spectators will be able to view the very best of commercial livestock throughout the afternoon.

The Midland & Western Livestock Improvement Society Ltd., are deeply indebted to the many generous Sponsors who have made these Classes possible and the Society urge Exhibitors and Spectators alike to support our Sponsors.

The Society themselves have added a new Class to the Schedule of a Butchers Heifer Class ( 600kgs. and under) and are offering a €200 Bonus to the buyer of the top priced Heifer from this Class at the Sale on Monday.

The Sale of the 340 Animals for Sale will commence at 11 o’clock with all Bullocks sold first followed by Heifers and then the 180 Weanlings with the male weanlings being sold in Ring 2 in the Marquee.
