This week, the internationally renowned Druid Theatre Company are calling Longford home as they set up camp for their six night run of two award-winning Tom Murphy plays.

The run opened at the weekend to a full house with Conversations on Homecoming, and tonight they take to the stage with A Whistle in the Dark.

Winner of Best Production at the Irish Times Theatre Awards, the theatrical highlight of 2012 is back. Hot on the heels of widespread international critical acclaim in 2012, Druid returns to Backstage with this rare opportunity to see these two remarkable plays by Tom Murphy in one week. Hailed by The New York Times as “epic theatre making”, by The Irish Times as “world-class” with The Daily Telegraph going on to say “attendance should be obligatory”, this really is a must-see event. It has already been a sell-out success on tour and is guaranteed to be the hot ticket again this season. The New York Times said “as always with this remarkable company, the acting is of a quality to leave you dumbstruck with admiration.”

Last minute tickets for this exceptional run are available on 043 33 47888, from Farrell & Coy or online on backstage.ie. See the shows individually or see both together with a special combination ticket offer.
