Hermitage Green will play MB Coy’s, Longford next Sunday, June 9 and the acclaimed Limerick band will be on stage from 8pm.
Hermitage Green was formed in July 2010 in a locked back room of the Curragower bar, Limerick. What started out as a spontaneous jam session between friends, soon developed in to a strong acoustic outfit with an original sound, for which the band have credited their contrasting musical tastes.
These interests range from traditional irish, folk to metal- and have formed the basis of an entirely unique approach in how the band deliver their material. The band has gone from strength to strength selling out venues across Australia, Ireland and the UK.
Seeing Hermitage Green live, you can expect hard hitting rhythm sections driven by the tribal combination of bodhran and djembe, rhythmic guitar lines with dobro melodies and four part vocal harmonies soaring over the top.
