The Aftermath return to Drumlish this Sunday for a celebration close to the hearts of the band’s two main men, the Cronin brothers, when they play a special gig as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations for Drumlish Community Centre.

“Our father helped out with digging out the foundations for the centre, and I remember the grand opening all those years ago,” said Michael Cronin.

With the band having a whirlwind year so far, with two songs featuring on ‘The Hardy Bucks Movie’ soundtrack and recently being joined on stage by One Direction’s Niall Horan and Kodaline, their appearance in Drumlish is sure to be a special occasion.

The Aftermath’s gig at the Drumlish Community Centre on Sunday night will top-off a weekend of activities in the parish facility. Friday night will see the staging of a variety show, while on Saturday there will be a free family fun day and a ceili and trad session later in the evening. On Sunday, there’s the Cairn Hill Challenge Road Run, with a night of music featuring Nite Fever and The Aftermath bringing the festivities to a close. There will be a full bar at the venue on the night.

All activities will take place at Drumlish Community Centre and the adjoining astroturf pitch.
