The Temperance Hall committee in Longford is delighted to announce details of an upcoming concert headlined by John O’Grady, star of the hit show “The Night Joe Dolan’s Car Broke Down”, on Sunday March 3rd next at St Mel’s Cathedral Centre.

The show, entitled ‘Oh-Me-Oh-My, You make me smile’, is billed as an evening of music and comedy featuring John O’Grady and guests.

O’Grady has been bringing audiences to their feet across the country since 2010 with his portrayal of Joe Dolan in the hit theatre production, written and directed by Padraic Mc ntyre, which recently had a second successful, sell-out run in the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. O’Grady also appeared in another of Mc Intryre’s productions “A Holy Show” in 2011, in which he performed alongside Peter Denton and Vincent Lee, as the singing priests. Both Denton and Lee will make a special guest appearance at the concert on Sunday March 3rd to give audiences a flavour of their take on the Three Priests”

John will perform a selection of popular songs and music that everyone knows - from Andy Williams and Elvis to Prince, Talking Heads and Elbow. He will also treat audiences to his own inimitable tribute to Joe Dolan.

Tickets are €15 and are available from: Temperance Hall, Backstage Theatre, Farrell & Coy, Torc Cafe & Foodhall, Fuchsia, and the Presbytery.
