‘The Frank Kilbride Show’ will be broadcast on Sky channel 191 at 7pm on Thursdays from October 3.

“The show will feature American country music, and Irish country, folk and trad,” said Mr Kilbride, who also presents a long-running radio show on Shannonside Northern Sound.

“I will also be featuring young musicians from around Ireland to help give them a push and gain some TV exposure. On the first show, I’ll be featuring a young Drumlish singer called Philip J Rogers.”

More familiar faces will also be appearing.

“On the first show I’ll also be talking to the Queen of Country, Philomena Begley,” Mr Kilbride continued. “And I’ll also be talking to Larry Murtagh, a bodhrán maker and performer.”

He also hopes to bring well-known presenter Derek Davis on the show as well. Mr Kilbride will also be travelling around the country to film this year’s Gatherings and various other events for his show.

Apart from the show’s primetime 7pm slot, it will also be repeated on Sundays at 6pm, and on Monday afternoons at 2pm.
