Travelling under the umbrella of Townspark Vintage Club Castlepollard, members from Longford, Cavan and Westmeath made the journey west to Achill over the Easter weekend for tractor runs on successive days.

Organised by RoR Granard, members from vintage clubs in Mullinalaghta, Mullahoran, Ballynacargy and Oldcastle gathered in Edgeworthstown on Easter Saturday to transport the 40 tractors to their base in Achill. On arrival, they travelled on a short tractor run to Keem Bay.

On Easter Sunday, the group travelled the spectacular Atlantic Drive and helped to raise funds for charities in the locality.

One of the participants, John Gilligan, said that over the course of a year they would go on ten tractor runs and, in the process, help to raise funds for local charity organisations and community groups. Their next significant run takes place in June when they will have a tractor run in Abbeylara to coincide with the Field Day. The funds raised on the day will go towards Abbeylara parish.
