A book launch will be held for Kenagh native Padraic McCormack’s book “The Rocky Road to the Dáil- Politics from the Inside”. The former Fine Gael TD’s book will be launched in Gav’s Bar, Kenagh by Minister of State, Michael Ring.

The 16th annual Aisling Children’s Arts Festival gets underway with a family fun day on the grounds of St Michael’s National School. There will be live performers and workshops on the day. The Aisling Festival will continue until October 26.

To celebrate the 125th anniversary of Granard Healys registration with the then newly-founded Gaelic Athletic Association, a GAA match between Granard Healys and Arva Davitts in period costume, under period rules will be held in Higginstown, Granard at 3pm.
