Longford’s Backstage Theatre has added an evening performance of the captivating puppet show ‘Croi a Muscailt’ so that families from across the region will have the opportunity to enjoy it. Croi a Muscailt is a beautifully heartwarming journey into the world of a girl and her granny, and the magical story of their relationship is told with puppetry, music and a wonderful chair.

With grandad not in his chair anymore, granny packs away the memories of their life in a suitcase, but the little girl unpacks them and breathes new life to them.

The show is mainly non-verbal, with just a couple of lines in both English and Irish, and is suitable for children aged five and above, with the Backstage encouraging all families to come along and introduce their children to the magical world of theatre.

Croi a Muscailt will be performed at the Backstage Theatre on Friday, May 31 at 7pm. Tickets are €7 each and are available from the theatre’s box office on 043 3347888 and www.backstage.ie.
