Lanesboro native Kip Carroll will return home to launch the 16th anniversary of the Lough Ree Environmental Summer Festival.
Kip is a world renowned photographer, with his work appearing in The Times, News of the World, The Guardian and Hello Magazine amongst others.
Kip photographs everything, including fashion, landscapes and even portraits, with past works featuring famous chef, Gordon Ramsey, and former President of Ireland, Mary Robinson.
The talented photographer will make his way back to his hometown to launch the festival on Friday, July 19, and his work will be on display throughout the festival. The launch will take place at 9pm in the Lough Ree Community Resource Centre, and is free of charge.
Throughout the festival, which continues until Wednesday, July 24, there is a range of activities and events planned for all ages and tastes, including workshops, seminars, walks, storytelling, tours, races, music and exhibitions, to name but a few.
