The heat is on. The models have been selected. The venue is ready. The opportunity to strut their stuff on the catwalk is now only days away for the locally selected models as the Longford Fashion Show extravaganza kicks off this coming Sunday at Club Blue.
The event which has been organised to raise some much needed funds for the Ireland Air Ambulance will appeal to a wide audience and the word on the street is to come early and grab your seat because large crowds are expected to join in the fun.

20 Longford ladies and eight gentlemen have now put themselves forward to model on the day and they will be indulged in fantastic makeovers and provided with an opportunity to wow audiences with the latest fashions and accessories as they make their way down the much coveted cat walk at Club Blue next Sunday evening.

Melissa Belton, organiser said that she was delighted with the response thus far and highlighted that the show would be fun filled and entertaining while at the same time would provide an opportunity to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.

"The models are selected and are being groomed to perfection as we speak," she said. "We have 28 models altogether which indicates that we have had a great response.

"The Ireland Air Ambulance will also provide a flight simulator which will be located in the car park at the back of PVs.

"This will cost €3 for children and €5 for adults. Music on the night will also be provided by the Jackson Five. It's going to be a great night and there will also be a number of spot prizes as well."

A number of local businesses have come on board in support of the event including; Cheveubelle; Hair on the Go Mobile Hairdressing; 5th Avenue; Clara Ellen; Brendan's Menswear and Vivian in Fabians who stepped in at the last minute to provide the footwear.

The fashion show extravaganza kicks off at 6pmand the flight simulator will be accessible from 5pm onwards on Sunday October 25 next.

Tickets cost €10 and there are a limited number currently available. For further details contact Melissa Belton on (087) 9424661 or Paula Fitzpatrick on (087) 2989933.
