Singing workshop at The Moth Studios

The award-winning singer/songwriter Abbie Lathe will be giving a one-off weekend workshop at The Moth Studios in Cavan Town on 26-27 January. Abbie’s singing is regularly featured on BBC wildlife soundtracks, and she has completed four UK tours and two highly successful albums as one third of ‘Maddy Prior and the Girls’, as well as having a solo career.

Abbie has spent several years teaching the many facets of voice and performance. “I believe that understanding the fears we have, regarding our voices, allows us to conquer them, enabling us all to sing with freedom and passion. This new-found confidence permeates into so many other aspects of life,” she says.

Rebecca O’Connor, editor at The Moth, who has experienced Abbie’s teaching first-hand, invited Abbie over from the UK for this unique workshop. “Abbie is a fantastic teacher. It’s not just that she helps improve your voice,” says Rebecca, “but it’s also a joyful, uplifting experience. I would strongly recommend anyone – regardless of how well you think you can sing – to go to this workshop.”

The weekend workshop costs €120 and will take place on Saturday 26 January from 1.30−7.30pm and Sunday 27 January from 10am−5pm. Booking is essential as places are limited. Call Rebecca on 049 4362677 for more details.
