Moydow manager of Limerick venue

The new Lime Tree Theatre in Limerick has just marked its official opening this month, with a Longford native at the helm.

Louise Donlon, originally from Moydow, left her position as a director of the Dunamaise Arts centre in Portlaoise to take up her new role in Limerick. She is a member of the Arts Council and has served as General Manager of the Druid Theatre company in Galway.

She is joined down in Limerick by another Longford woman, Deirdre Flynn, who has also taken up a position with the new theatre.

The first season at the theatre begins on 19 September with the Tom Barry play ‘Guerilla Days in Ireland.’
