Mick Flavin returns to Park House

Mick Flavin.

Mick Flavin.

Mick Flavin and his band will make one of their rare appearances in County Longford at the Parkhouse Hotel in Edgeworthtown on Saturday September 1.

This year has been very busy for Mick as he celebrates his 25 year milestone in country music.

There have been a lot of highlights over the year so far, including Mick’s sell-out concert at the Park Hotel, Mullingar when fans came from far and near to show their appreciation to their “King of Country”.

In May, Mick and his band embarked on their first ever month long sellout tour of Australia, which took them from Brisbane to Tamworth and from Sydney to Melbourne.

They also did a series of shows in Tasmania before later being honoured with a civic reception in Tamworth led by its Mayor, Russell Webb.

Back home, a number of events have been planned for the remainder of the year including a concert at the Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen on this Thursday August 30.

Special guests on the night are singer/songwriter Kevin Logue and comedian Frank Forde.

Next month sees Mick and the band take in a week long tour of Scotland while at the beginning the Fifth Annual Mick Flavin & Friends weekend gets underway at the McWilliam Park Hotel in Claremorris.

Joining Mick and his band on the Friday night will be Nathan Carter and his band. On the Saturday night it will be Shaun Loughrey and his band while on the Sunday afternoon Mick and his band will bring proceedings to a close.

Meals, entertainment and accommodation is available for only €199pps. For details contact the hotel on 094 9378000.

Meanwhile, a long awaited album and DVD is almost ready and should be out before Christmas. Before all that The Parkhouse Hotel in Edgeworthstown is the only place to be on Saturday September 1 when you will hear Mick sing all his great hits including his recently released new single “Maybe Someday”. A large turnout is expected so please come early.

Details on any of Mick’s concerts, dance or tour dates can be obtained by contacting Mick’s office at info@mickflavin.com
