Following the great success of the last two years, The Marquee in Drumlish Festival is back on Friday August 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19. Featuring the best Ireland has to offer in musical talent, the three day festival, powered by Imagine Wimax, promises to cater for all tastes, young and old alike with a feast of music, fun and events for all the family in the County Longford village.

The Saw Doctors get the festival off to a rocking start on Friday night playing live in the Marquee. With a huge back-catalogue of hits from ‘I Useta Love Her’, ‘N17’ and more recent Sugababes covers, these world famous Tuam boys will be followed by i102-104 Radio, DJ Fergal D’Arcy meaning Friday is definitely a night not to be missed.

Saturday afternoon will see a temporary move of festivities to the neighbouring village of Ballinamuck for an olde style Fair Day and Family Fun Day. The village promises to be a hive of activity on the day with many traditional crafts being rekindled for demonstration, and Vintage cars, tractors and motorbikes on display with refreshments and entertainment for young and old alike including face painting and Fun Dog Show.

Music in the Marquee on Saturday night will begin with local lads, Liam Gill and David Ledwith together with their band The Monday Club followed by Irish country music legend, TR Dallas.

Headliner on Saturday night Mike Denver will take to the stage guaranteeing that night is a four hour non-stop country music extravaganza.

The ’98 Hall in Ballinamuck will host a Monster Bingo on Sunday afternoon at 3pm with €3,500 in prizes while music in the Marquee Sunday night will be by ex-Blizzards’ front man and Irish heart throb, Bressie. Warming up the crowd for The Voice of Ireland coach are Marquee regulars, The Aftermath, and new kids on the Irish Rock/Pop scene, Kodaline.
Organisers have welcomed Imagine Wimax as the new sponsors of The Marquee in Drumlish Festival. Ciaran Doyle, Marketing Director in Imagine said: “We are delighted to be associated with such a great event. We brought our WiMax product to Drumlish nearly two years ago now, so its an area we are very familiar with. We will certainly be down there enjoying the weekend and we would encourage everyone to do likewise.”

Admission to the Marquee are: Friday (August 19) €22 incl booking fee; Saturday (August 20) €15, and Sunday (August 21) €17 incl booking fee.
