Summer Competition: Congratulations to Michael O’Donnell and John Devine who achieved joint 1st place in our “Summer” Competition. Congratulations also to Mary Fenelon who was a close 3rd. Thanks to everyone who entered, we received over 60 excellent images and the judging was close.

Next meeting and upcoming competitions: The next competition will be “Autumn” to be judged on the 15th of November and the following competition is “Monochrome”, to be judged on 13th December. Entries to competition@longfordcameraclub.com to be in by Tuesday 13th Nov and Tuesday 11th Dec respectively.

Our next meeting will be a workshop on studio lights and will be held on 1st November. Meet at Valentine’s Bar, Longford after 8pm, moving upstairs to the Spiral tree at 8:30 sharp. (Thanks to Eddie for the use of the premises.)

Calendar 2012: Note to members - keep the photos of Longford, (or with a definite Longford connection), coming in for the calendar. The final selection of images for inclusion will be made next Thursday October 25th.
