Fashion show fundraiser for St Joseph’s Hospital, Longford

A fashion show in aid of St Joseph’s Hospital will take place in the Longford Arms Hotel at 8pm on Friday, March 22.

Proceeds from the event will go directly towards the facility’s Patient Comfort Fund, which finances outings and activities for residents.

Speaking to the Longford Leader this week, the show’s organiser, Patricia McKeon said: “We didn’t stage it last year, but we’ve brought it back now due to popular demand. It’s always been well supported in the past, and I think that’s because it’s for the locals – for the patients themselves.”

Patricia is currently on the lookout for local boutiques and clothing outlets who want to participate in the fashion show. “It’s an ideal opportunity for them to promote their spring/summer collections,” she said.

“It’s a popular event and spaces are filled quickly, so we’d ask shops who may be interested to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

In addition to the fashion show, there will be plenty of other entertainment on offer in the Longford Arms. “There will be a raffle and spot prizes on the night, and we’re hoping to have music in the front bar of the Longford Arms afterwards,” she explained.

Patricia added that any businesses who want to participate in the fashion show, or who want to donate spot prizes for the raffle should contact her on 087 9090892.
