Drama League of Ireland workshop with Padraic McIntyre

The Drama League of Ireland is organising a regional workshop for members and prospective members in the north east, which will be hosted by Padraic O’Brien at the Backyard Arts Centre in Cavan on Saturday, November 10 at 10.30am.

A native of Bailieboro, Padraig O’Brien is the Artistic Director of the Livin’ Dred Theatre Company and has directed many award-winning productions, such as ‘The Beauty Queen of Leenane’ and ‘The Dead School’, and is perhaps best known as the writer/director of the play ‘The Night Joe Dolan’s Car Broke Down’. He has trained with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and has an MA in Theatre Studies from DCU.

The DLI is an umbrella organisation for amateur drama groups in Ireland, and has a large number of group and individual members throughout the country.
