TR Dallas

TR Dallas

After the huge success of their first year as a new band playing to a packed house in Cooney’s Hotel, Ballymahon, they have decided to continue with a regular gig on the last Monday of every month.

On Monday, December 3rd there is a very special treat in store for fans of country music. The Sheerin family will be joined on stage by country music superstar, TR Dallas.

The name TR Dallas was first launched on the Irish music scene in 1980. Since then, he has become a household name throughout the British Isles and beyond. With a string of hit records to his name, such as ‘Who Shot JR Ewing’, ‘Hard to be Humble’, ‘Daddy’s Girl’ and ‘This Story I tell you is True’ to name but a few, numerous radio and television shows and thousands of fans, he continues to tour extensively.

TR Dallas has toured and performed with some of the biggest names in Country Music such as Johnny Cash, Boxcar Willie, Don Williams and Foster & Allen. In 1981 he graced the stage at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville, and in 1987 he represented Ireland at the European Gold Star Awards in Holland where he came joint third with the world-famous group, The New Seekers.

The Sheerin family band consists of seven family members out of 11. These are: Paul on steel guitar, Dessie on bass, Danny on vocals and acoustic guitar, Kieran on piano, Tom on fiddle, Simon on drums and Carmel on vocals and acoustic guitar. Their unique sound and crisp harmonies will leave the hairs standing on the back of your neck.

A great night is in store on the December 3rd and you never know who you might spot in the crown from the Irish entertainment world. The show starts at 10pm and admission is free.
