Sean Fagan Teffia Park The death occured on July 30 of Sean Fagan of Teffia Park, Longford and formerly of Newtowncashel at his home. His passing is deeply regretted by his mother, Hannah; brothers, Tom and Anthony; aunt, uncles, sister-in-law, niece, relatives and friends. His remains were brought to St Mel's Cathedral with burial in Saint's Island Cemetery, Newtowncashel after Mass of the Resurrection recently.

Christopher McGoey

Dublin, Longford and AGS

The peaceful death occurred on July 4 in the tender care of the Intensive Care staff of St James' Hospital of Christopher (Christy) McGoey, Terenure, Dublin and Longford and AGS, beloved husband of Mary and loving dad of Oliver and Mary and father-in-law to Jim, beloved and loved granddad of to Gareth, Leanne and Morgan. He will be fondly remembered by his son, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

His remains were brought to the Church of St Paul of The Cross, Mount Argus with burial to Bohermabreena Cemetery after funeral mass last Saturday.

Carmel Cooney

Main Street, Longford

The peaceful death occurred on July 8 of Carmel Cooney (nee Kelly), The Man's Shop, 42 Main Street, Longford at the residence of her daughter, Joanne, Ballagh Road, Stonepark, Longford, wife of the late Michael (Mick). Her passing is deeply regretted regretted by her loving family, Mary, Joanne, Michael and Patrick; daughter-in-law, Fiona; grandchildren, Darragh and Siofra; sister, Maureen; brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Her remains were brought to St Mel's Cathedral with burial to Ballymacormack Cemetery after funeral mass last Tuesday.

James William Matthews

Abbeyshrule

The sudden death occurred on July 5 of James William Matthews, Driminure, Abbeyshrule, Co Longford at his home, beloved and much loved husband of Amber and darling father of Jessica. His passing is deeply regretted by his family, uncles, aunts and many cousins, particularly Clare; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and a large circle of friends.

His remains were brought to Tashinny Parish Church with interment to Dumganstown, COI Cemetery, Redcross, Co Wicklow after funeral service last Saturday.

Michael Tynan

Ballinalee

The peaceful death occurred on July 6 in the loving care of the Matron, nurses and staff in St Joseph's Hospital, Longford. His passing is deeply regretted by his cousins, friends and neighbours. His remains were brought to St Ennybegs Church with burial to Cullyfad Cemetery after funeral mass last Saturday.

Bridgie Sheridan

Aughnacliffe and Edgeworthstown

The death occurred on July 8 in the loving care of the staff of Mullingar General Hospital and the staff of St Camillus Nursing Home, Killucan of Bridgie Sheridan (nee Kilbride), late of Aughakine, Aughnacliffe and Edgeworthstown PO, surrounded by her loving family. His passing is deeply regretted by her loving husband, John Joe; sons, Enda, Adrian and John; daughter, Edel; mother, Mary Lizzie; brothers, Frank and Padraig; sister, Kathleen; son-in-law, Ulrik; daughter-in-law, Colette; mother-in-law, Kathleen; uncle-in-law, Frankie (Joe); aunt-in-law, Bridge; grandson, Luke; nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Her remains were brought to St Colmcille's Church via Aughnacliffe with burial to adjoining cemetery after funeral mass on Tuesday.
