Clinic opening times from 5pm – 8.30pm. Please support this essential service. It is important that we all remember that many patients in hospital need our blood.
WEDDING BELLS: Congratulations to Sharon Brady daughter of Mary and the late La Brady Cortober Arva and Ronan Duffy son of Farrell and Bernadette Duffy Fyhora Moyne who were married in the Church of Holy Family Loch Gowna on Friday 28th September. The wedding ceremony was celebrated by Fr PJ Fitzpatrick assisted by Fr Eamon Corkery, Fr Joe Walsh and Fr Kevin Fay. The bride was given in marriage by her mother Mrs Mary Brady. Bridesmaids Siobhan and Michelle Brady. Groomsmen Mel and Fergal Duffy. Following the wedding ceremony family and friends celebrated the occasion with a reception in Errigal Country House Hotel Cootehill where a delicious meal was served and an evening of entertainment was enjoyed by all in attendance. We wish Sharon and Ronan a long life of good health and happiness in their married life together.

FISHING COMPETITION RESULTS: Results of fundraising fishing competition in association with Hughie Brady Arva and Our Ladys Childrens Hospital Crumlin fished on Sunday 14th October on Derries Lake 1st Kerrie Lee Dring; 2nd Matty Grey Aughnacliffe; 3rd Terry Brennan Cortober Arva; 4th Marty Cosworth Dring. 15 boats participated. Thanks to everyone for supporting this event.
HALLOWEEN FANCY DRESS: A major Halloween fancy dress fundraiser is being held in Kane’s Bar, Granard this Saturday night. The event, spearheaded by by the town’s Christmas Lights Committee, boasts no less than €500 in prizes for the winning costumes on the night. A prize of €300 has been set aside for first place while amounts of €200 and €100 will go to second and third places respectively. There will also be numerous spot prizes in store on the night, one of which is set to include a flatscreen TV. Tickets for the evening are priced at €5 and can be purchased from local shops and committee members.
