Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to Mrs Mary Grey Dernaferst Loch Gowna on the death of her Father Brian Grant , Hawthorn Lodge, Glack, Co. Longford which occurred peacefully at his home on Saturday 15th September also sympathy to his wife and family, relatives and friends. His remains were removed from his remains were removed from his residence on Tuesday morning to St. Marys Chruch, Newtownforbes and following a requiem mass burial took place in Ballymacormack cemetery. May he rest in peace. Sympathy is also extended to Jackie Flanagan and family Corrickadorish, Aughnacliffe on the recent death of his wife Nell. May she rest in peace.

Fishing Competition: Loch Gowna / Upper Erne in association with Hughie Brady Arva and Crumlin Children’s Hospital are hosting an open boat pike fishing competition on Sunday 14th October. Venue Derries Lake, fishing from 11am – 5pm. Further information contact Ciaran on 086 8579156

Gowna Youth Club: Community Centre open on Friday 21st September for games room activity’s from 8pm to 10.30pm. A short talk on what is the Harvest Festival by Rev Hazel Hicks will take place at 9.30 pm on Friday 21st September in the Community Centre.

Credit Union Sub Office: Loch Gowna Credit Union sub office open for business every Saturday evening from 6pm to 7.30pm in the Community Centre.

County Market Sale: County Market Sale on Friday 28th September in the old curtain/blind shop Main St, Arva. Home baking stall, flower/gift stall, knitting stall, book stall and many more. Harvest Thanksgiving Service: Loch Gowna Church of Ireland Harvest Thanksgiving Service on Friday night 21st September at 8pm. Speaker Rev. Charlie Eames. Everyone welcome. Tea will be served afterwards in the Community Centre.
