Loch Gowna

FIRST COMMUNION: On Sunday 10th May 2012 was a special day for the children of Loch Gowna and Cortober schools when they received their first holy communion in the Church of Holy Family Loch Gowna from Fr PJ Fitzpatrick who celebrated the Mass. Refreshments were provided to the children and their families in the community centre afterwards. We congratulate the following children on this special occasion. Evan Kane, Ryan Brady, Conor Casey, Conor Duignan, Sean Cudden, Joshua Dolan, Caitlin O’Reilly, Marie McEntee, Erin Pierson,Lauren O’Reilly, Tara Madden, Ellyanna Madden, Moya Shiels, Emma Crotty, Jane Smith and Grace Cadden (Gowna), Joseph Finnegan, Sean Ward and Conor Leddy (Cortober).

GIVE BLOOD: The mobile unit of the blood transfusion service will visit St Brigids community centre Loch Gowna on Wednesday 27th June and Thursday 28th June. Clinic times 5pm – 8.30pm. Please support this essential service. It is important that we all remember that many patients in hospital need our blood.

SYMPATHY: We extend our deepest sympathy to Kevin and Josie O’Neill (nee Madden) Aughavain Castleknock Dublin on the recent death of Kevin’s sister Mrs Shelia MacElroy. May she rest in peace.
