St. Brigid’s Gaels: We had our official launch on Sunday last, this proved to be a very enjoyable and successful occasion despite the weather. Our teams performed gallantly against a strong Carrickedmond team. There was a great turn out to support the teams and the launch. Thanks to all who provided the lovely refreshments which were enjoyed on the day. Thanks to all who supported our club to get it up and running special thanks to our sponsors. We look forward to next year where no doubt our club will go from strength to strength.

INNY ANGLERS: Result of Inny Anglers Lotto draw held last weekend. Numbers drawn were 13,21 and 35. There was no jacpot winner. Special draw winners were Caroline Burke and Brian Mulvihill. This week’s draw takes place in Sloweys for a jackpot of 2550 euro.

EXCERCISE CLASSES: Motivational fitness PT is now taking bookings for its exercise class starting on Wednesday 31st October at 8pm in the Rustic Inn Abbeyshrule. The class is fun friendly and suitable for all fitness abilities. Numbers are limited so booking is essential. For further information or booking contact Darren on 0860662781.

GAA:Results of Legan Sarsfields GAA lotto draw held on Monday October for a jackpot of 5250 euro.Numbers drawn were 10,20,21,30. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winner was John Joe & Patten. This week’s draw took place on Monday October 15th and results will be published next week.

WALKING CLUB: On Saturday next October 20th St Peters Walking Group will assemble in Abbeyshrule at 10am for their weekly walk.

MATCH VIDEO: A match video recording of the recent junior championship victory was shown to a large and attentive audience in the Rustic Inn Abbeyshrule on Saturday night last. Those who did not avail of this viewing can still see it in the coming weeks.

DRAMA MEETING:Drama meeting is Wednesday October 17th the GAA Club house at 9pm. A number of roles have yet to be filled in the probable production of Sive early in the new year.
