Killashee

CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to Ciara and Kevin Lyons Sharavogue on the recent birth of their first baby, a bouncing baby boy called Darragh. Congratulations are also extended to the proud grandparents Celine and Gerry O’Rourke.

COMMUNITY GAMES: Our indoor soccer teams were busy over the past few weeks playing their respective competitions. Well done to all the children who took part and represented their parish. The boys U15 and U13 were defeated last week. The U13 girls played Longford South in the final on Sunday last. At the end of full time and extra time the sides could not be divided. A result was only reached after a penalty shoot out and unfortunately the Killashee girls were defeated. The U15 girls played Carrickedmond in the final where they put on a great display of team work and brought home Killashee’s first county gold medals of 2012. Congratulations to Ruth Kavanagh,Amy Webb, Alanna Dolan Orla Duffy and Eadaoin Regan. They have now qualified for the Leinster rounds and we wish them every success. A special word of thanks to the managers Joe Tyrell, Dan Magan and Colman Lee for all their work with the teams.

GLEE CLUB: Your local Glee Club is having an X factor inspired 10 weeks. If your child is interested in singing, dancing ,drama and could use a confidence boost – call Lisa on 087 7619605 for information on your nearest club.
