WEDDING BELLS: The marriage between Rachel Magan Killashee and George Lavelete England took place on Saturday 16th June in St Patricks Church Killashee. Rachel is daughter of Mike and Mary and George son of Paul and Gail. The beautiful bride was attended to by her sisters Paula and Alice and the flowergirl was Isabelle Magan. The bestman was Tom Grove and groomsman was Jack Lavelette. The wedding ceremony was celebrated by Fr Brendan O’Sullivan. Following the marriage Rachel and George were joined by family and friends in Glasson Golf Club where they celebrated into the small hours ,indeed the festivities continued all over the weekend. We wish the happy couple long life ad happiness together.

LOTTO: The local lotto draw was held on Sunday night last. Numbers drawn were 4,5,11,21. There was no jackpot winner. 40 euro winner was Thomas Maning. 20 euro each went to Mamie McWeeney. Nancy Finn and Declan Deehan. The next draw will be held in the Chestnut Tree,Killashee on Sunday 1st July for a jackpot of 3200 euro. The club greatly appreciates your continued support.

SYMPATHY : Deepest sympathy is extended to Lionel Gouldsbury on the recent death of his Adrian. Adrian’s removal took place to St Paul’s Church Killashee and burial in the adjoining graveyard. May he rest in peace.

GAA CLUB: Rathcline ladies GAA Club are holding a fundraising night at the dogs in Longford greyhound stadium on Friday night next 22nd June. Tickets cost 10 euro each and are available from any of the players. The ladies would greatly appreciate your support.

SUMMER CAMP: Stonepark Summer Camp will take place on Monday 16th July to Friday 20th July at Stonepark National School. It will cater for children currently attending primary school. BONFIRE: St Brigids GAA annual bonfire and barbecue takes place on Friday 29th June at St Brigids club grounds. This is a fully licenced event with food served from 10pm til 12 midnight. Music will be supplied by the wee amigos. Tickets are available from committee members. The bonfire and barbecue night has always been a very enjoyable event and this year promises to be the same.

COMMUNITY GAMES: Best of luck to the boys U13 and girls U13 futsal teams who travel to Gormanstown on Saturday next where they will represent Longford in the Leinster qualifiers. Both teams take on the representatives for Meath.

NEW ARIVAL: Congratulations to Sarah Cosgrove and Tyrone Taafe on the recent birth of their baby boy Tyler. He is a very welcome brother for Nikata . Congratulations are also extended to the proud grandparents Brendan and Marie in Derryadd.
