SYMPATHY EXPRESSED: We regret to announce the death of Mr. Michael (Sonny) McKeon (Mohercrieve, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim on Thursday of last week (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff of St. Patrick’s Community Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon.

Beloved husband of the late Maura and loving father of Carmel, Kevin, Mary, Pauline, Cyril, Aidan and Dermot; sadly missed by his family, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grand children, relatives, neighbours and friends. Mr.McKeon was laid to rest in the adjoining Cemetery on Sunday last following Requiem Mass in St.Patrick’s Church.Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

BRANLEY TRUST RUN/WALK: Please support the Lydia Branley Trust, Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimers Ireland by walking or running in the 10k next Saturday 8th Sept at 12.00. Register on line at www.northleitrimglensrun.com or at the Bee Park Community Centre on Fri evening from 5.00pm or from 8am to 10.30 on the race morning. Get a group of friends together and enjoy the fun and delicious treats at this community event. Only €15.

CHILDHOOD DAYS AGM: The AGM of Childhood Days will be held on Thursday 13th September at 8.00 p.m. at the centre in Laird House, Drumshanbo. This will be followed at 8.30 p.m. by a parent and staff social evening with a guest speaker.
