CLOONE AGR SHOW: The committee of Cloone Agricultural Show wish to thank everyone who supported their recent successful ‘25’car drive in Fitzpatricks Bar Mohill. Thanks is expressed to all the players who attended on the night,everyone who purchased tickets and the donors of spot prizes not forgetting the Fitzpatrick family who hosted the events. PILGRIM WALK: Diocese of Ardagh and Clonmacnois Pilgrim walk: June Bank holiday Monday 4th June leaving Ballinahowan Hall at 3pm or Nallys sandpit at 4pm. Arriving at Nun’s chapel Clonmacnois at 6pm for station prayers.

TRAINING COURSES: Upcoming training courses in Co Leitrim: Care and Conservation of historic graveyards connecting communities with Wildlife in Co Leitrim. Valuing our built heritage in the county. Focus on our past getting groups organised , build and manage your own website for community groups and IT for farmers. A minimum of 10 participants. There is no fee. The majority of courses will be in the evening/night and also at weekends to accomodate participants and will be based on the location of participants and times that suit best. CONGRESS: Congress in 1932 displayed in Ballinamore library. The exhibition outlines the preparations and celebrations which took place nationally and locally at the time. Ballinamore library is open Mon Wed and Fri from 10am to 5.30pm; Tues and Thurs from 10am to 8pm and Sat 10am to 5pm. The above exhibition has been compiled by Mary Conefrey Lisgilloc . It is well worth a visit to see how our ancestors celebrated in 1932.

PRAY: Pray for the happy repose of the soul of Brian Tiernan Birmingham and Drumgowla,Cloone whose funeral Mass took place in Birmigham on Thursday last. Prayer for the happy repose of the soul of Peter Charles Cloone village ,his remains will arrive at St Marys Church on Sunday evening at 8pm. Funeral mass on Monday at 11am. Burial in our local cemetery.

PLAYSCHOOL: Cloone/Aughavas Community playschool are now taking bookings for September 2012 for children who are age 2 years and 1 months on 1st September 2012 and are providing places under the ECCE scheme. If your child is going to school in September 2013 and born between 2nd February 2008 and 30th June 2009 they are entitled to avail of the free pre-school year. Limited places available. AUGHAVAS ICA: Aughavas ICA meeting this Tuesday 29th May at 8pm. This is our AGM and fees will be collected.

SUPPORT GROUP: Support Group for parents of children with special needs are meeting at the Cornmill Theatre Carrigallen on Wednesday 6th June 2012 from 10am to 3pm. 10am introduction and advocacy 10.30am – creativity for parents ; 11.30am sculpting (clay modelling) with Martin Doyle 12.30pm Lunch at Mittchells Bar; 1.30pm understanding behaviours the benefits of art/nature and animal therapy by Becky Thomas; 2.30pm meditation and mindfulness. CRAFTY LADIES: Coffee morning at Carrigallen PO Friday 1st June from 10am – 12.30pm. All welcome. Admission 3 euro. Bring clothes for SWAP or restyling and a sewing machine if you have one. Also will discuss ideas for festival weekend.

1ST FRIDAY: Friday is the First Friday, sick and housebound will be attended as usual.
