BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS: Congratulations to Mrs Katie Brennan, Cartronmarkey, who celebrated her 99th birthday on Saturday last September 8th. We join with her family and many friends in wishing her many happy returns and look forward to next year for the big one.

CLUB TICKETS: Ballymore football club are currently selling their tickets for the monthly draw and they appeal to all their loyal supporters to please try and lend their support as the draw is the only source of income the club has.

SYMPATHY: Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Kieran Finnan, Granard, who passed to his eternal reward last week and was laid to rest in Granardkille cemetery following Mass on Saturday morning.

COWBOY KARAOKE NIGHT: On Saturday night September 22nd next the Granard Branch of St. Christopher’s are hosting a Cowboy Karaoke Evening in McElvaney’s of Coolarty commencing at 10pm. Admission is ten euro and their will be raffle and competition for the best dressed cowboy and cowgirl with prizes of twenty five euro. Your support will be greatly appreciated and don’t forget to wear your hat.

CLONFIN MEETING: The next meeting of the Clonfin commemoration committee will be held in Lus Na Greine Granard on Wednesday evening September 19th at 8-00pm and all members are invited to attend. New members welcome..

THANKS: Bunlahy Area Action Group wish to say thanks to all who supported their recently held Irish night with a special thanks to Michael Carrigy, PJ Reilly and Roger Stakem for their help.

SYMPATHY: Deepest and sincere sympathy is extended to the family and friends of the late John Frank O Reilly who passed to his eternal reward last week. The late John Frank was married to the former Winnie Brady from Lisrathigan, Coolarty, and she predeceased him some years ago. We offer our sympathy to his brother in law Frank Brady and family in Lisrathigan. May he rest in peace. We also offer sincere sympathy to Jackie Flanagan and family Colmcille on the sad death of Nell last week. May she rest in peace.
